1. What Your Surprise Dates is

Your Surprise Dates is a date-planning service. You tell us your preferences, and we design a complete date itinerary for you, delivered by email within 48 hours of your booking. We plan and book your date. We do not host, run, or provide the activities ourselves.

2. The planning fee

Our service is a one-time planning fee of $14.99 CAD. This is the only amount we charge you. It covers planning your date, delivering your itinerary, and making the bookings on your behalf. It does not cover the cost of any activities, venues, food, drink, tickets, transport, or reservations.

3. Your budget

The budget you set is a guide we plan within. It is not paid to us and is never charged by us. You remain responsible for the cost of your date’s activities, venues, and reservations, at your own expense.

4. Cost of your date and responsibility

Your Surprise Dates is not responsible for paying for any part of your date. All activity, venue, food, drink, ticket, reservation, and transport costs are your responsibility and are paid by you directly to the relevant provider.

Any prices we suggest are estimates and may change. The final cost of your date depends on the providers you choose to book and is outside our control.

5. Refunds and cancellation

The planning fee is refundable only if you request a refund within 24 hours of your booking. After 24 hours, the planning fee is non-refundable, because the planning service has been completed.

To protect this refund window, we do not deliver your itinerary during the first 24 hours. Your completed itinerary is sent after the 24-hour refund window has closed, and within 48 hours of your booking.

6. Bookings and reservations

We make the reservations and bookings for your date on your behalf, within the budget you set. You remain responsible for the cost of those bookings. Your Surprise Dates is not responsible for a provider’s availability, pricing, changes, cancellations, or terms, or for a booking a provider declines, alters, or cannot honour.

7. Dietary, allergy, and accessibility needs

We plan your date around the dietary, allergy, and accessibility information you give us during the planning steps. It is your responsibility to tell us about any requirements or restrictions, and to check them directly with each venue before and during your visit. We are not liable for requirements you do not disclose to us.

8. Accuracy of information

We take care to suggest suitable, open, and available options, but venue details, opening hours, pricing, and availability can change. Please verify the key details with each provider before you go.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Your Surprise Dates is not liable for the quality, safety, availability, conduct, or cost of any third-party venue, activity, or provider, or for any loss, injury, or disappointment arising from your date. Our total liability to you is limited to the planning fee you paid.

10. Privacy

We use the information you provide only to plan and deliver your date. We do not sell your information. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version shown at the time of your booking is the version that applies to that booking.
